Tragedy Strikes

Recently, a tragic plane crash took the lives of several Russian skaters, including former world champion couple, Gia Shishova and Vadim Nof. The crash also claimed the lives of 14 American skaters, who were returning from a national development camp. Among them, six were from Boston, leaving a gaping hole in the hearts of their loved ones.

A Close-Knit Community

Skating is not just a sport. It’s a tight-knit community where skaters, coaches, and families come together as one big family. The CEO of the Boston Skating Club, visibly emotional, highlighted the strong bond that exists among skaters and their families. They spend countless hours training together, supporting each other, and forming friendships that last a lifetime.
