Waking up at 5 a.m. – A 30-day challenge
The Early Riser
Hey there! Have you ever wondered what it’s like to wake up at 5 a.m. every day? Well, I decided to challenge myself and find out. Let me take you on a journey through my 30-day experiment of early mornings and late nights.
Day 1: Setting the Alarm
As a freelancer, I used to be a night owl, but living with my partner changed that. So, I set my alarm for 5 a.m. for the next 30 days. But here’s the catch – I needed 8 hours of sleep each night. Time to hit the sack early!
- Step 1: Set your alarm for 5 a.m.
- Step 2: Aim for 8 hours of sleep each night.
It wasn’t easy at first. Jet lag from a trip home to New Jersey threw me off track. Life always finds a way to disrupt our plans. But, I learned that putting my health first is key.
Remember, it’s okay to prioritize your well-being over strict routines.
After 20 days of early wake-ups, I found a routine that worked for me. A morning gym session boosted my energy, and I felt ready to tackle the day. But, in the end, I realized that sacrificing sleep wasn’t worth the productivity.
Life lesson: Balance is key, and flexibility is essential. Experimenting with challenges can lead to valuable insights about ourselves.
