It felt like my brain was on strike, and I had to surrender to the caffeine withdrawal symptoms. Chris, on the other hand, was facing his own set of challenges with headaches and low energy.
As the days went by, the physical symptoms started to fade, but the emotional attachment to coffee lingered. The social aspect of having a cup of joe with loved ones felt like a missed connection, leaving me feeling a bit out of place.
The Final Verdict
After a rollercoaster of a month, filled with cravings, struggles, and moments of clarity, the 30-day caffeine detox came to an end. And let me tell you, while I learned that I don’t necessarily need coffee to survive, I sure do love and appreciate it in my daily routine.
So, would I do it all over again? Definitely not! But hey, this experience gave me a new perspective on the beverage that brings us all together – coffee.
