Hey there, pals! Have you heard about the cool stuff happening with the James Webb Telescope? It’s taking awesome photos of the universe and blowing our minds. Let’s dive into these new discoveries together!
This space telescope cost a whopping $10 billion to make. Can you believe it? And it’s chilling in space at a temperature almost as cold as it gets. To keep cool, this telescope orbits the Sun, not Earth.
The James Webb Telescope has a super-long lens, about 2,500 times bigger than a regular camera lens. It’s snapping pics in the infrared range, letting us see through clouds and gases.
The telescope captured images of a dying star, showing us its last moments in the cosmic dance of life and death. Just like us, stars go through different stages – from birth to death. Our own Sun will transform into a Red Giant in about 5 billion years. No need to worry now though!
We also got to peek 13 billion years into the past, seeing galaxy clusters and even witnessing the birth of new stars. Plus, we detected water on an exoplanet 1,150 light years away. It’s exciting, but don’t get too thrilled – the planet is scorching hot.
But hey, there’s hope! Scientists are eyeing another potentially habitable planet just 40 light-years away. It’s similar to Earth in many ways, and the telescope will soon check for signs of life. Can you imagine finding aliens close to home?
The key to a planet supporting life? Liquid water, a solid surface, and the right gases in the atmosphere. Fingers crossed for our cosmic neighbors! Stay tuned for more amazing discoveries from the James Webb Telescope.
Hope you enjoyed this cosmic adventure! Be sure to check out my other video for more mind-blowing details. Until next time, keep looking up! Thank you for joining me! πππ
